Role of Brahmin Development corporation in development of Marginalised community

New Delhi,13th December 2020

World Brahmin Federation ( WBF ) hosted an online webinar called -  Brahm E Milan program on the topic of the Role of Brahmin Development Corporation in the development of the Marginalised community. The program was well attended from all across India & overseas. The notable overseas participation included Dr Sadhna Joshi President WBF Canada from Toronto &  Mr. KV Subramanium,  WBF President Australia from Melbourne. Mr. Shashi Kant Sharma Chief General Secretary WBF welcomed all participants. 

President World Brahmin Federation ( WBF ) KC Pandey, who was online from Burlington, Toronto, Canada welcomed all the participants. The webinar started with lightning of virtual lamp & with Ashir Vachan from HH PVSN Simhaya jee Swami, Peetha Adhyaksh Mantra Rajam Peetam Tirupati. Chief Guest of Webinar was Mr Malladi Vishnu, MLA & Chairman AP Brahmin corporation Govt of AP. The special invitee were Shri IYR Krishna Rao, Former Chief Secretary AP, Dr. VR Panchamukhi, Former Director-General Indian Council of Social Science Research GOI & Former Chancellor Rashtriya Sanskrit University Tirupati. Pandit Mange Ram Sharma Chairman Presided over the function. Mr RS Goswami VC WBF, Mr Kamakoti Prasad Rao WBF President AP, Shri Kishan Sharma President WBF Telangana,  Mr KV Subramanium WBF President addressed the Webinar & expressed their views. 

In his inaugural address, Mr KC Pandey talked about the Mission, Vision & objective of WBF & its continuous efforts of making INDIA as a merit-based society of 21 st century. Mr Pandey talked about eliminating of reservation from Lok Sabha & Vidhan Sabha &  talked about pending writ petition in Supreme Court which has been referred to a 5 judge constitution bench in the year 2001 but all in wane.

Four main agenda of WBF 1- Brahmin Gaurav 2- Political thinking 3- Economical thinking 4- Educational thinking. Mr. Pandey talked about the WBF initiative of the Global Brahmin Business network ( ), Jyotirvid & Yagyik initiative etc. Mr. Pandey demanded the following from the AP Brahmin Development corporation & Govt of Andhra Pradesh. 
1- The Scheme already existing in AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation should be restarted & to be continued. 
2- in order to strengthen the board few representatives from the Brahmin association including WBF to be nominated to the boards. 
3- Establishment of one shelter each in every district of AP for Brahmin widows & orphans. 
4- Temple Management Committee should be headed by Brahmins or AAGMA experts only. 
5-  Issue of Health Cards for all eligible Brahmins. 
6- Support schemes for UPNAYNA Sanskaras . 
7- Cash Gift to girls who are marrying a Brahmin priest. 
8- RS 20000 Cash support for funerals of poor & needy Brahmins. 
9- Garbhalaya of 80% temple is very very narrow causing inconvenience & breathing problems to be resolved. 
10- NOT TO PAY PRIEST displays should be removed immediately. 
11- Vedas should be a course of academic study at least in one college in each district. 
12- Establishment & setting up of a - Brahmin Entrepreneurship Development institute ( BEDI ) by AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation at a suitable place. 
13- Regular meeting at the board & a quick Grievance redressal mechanism to be in place. 

The theme of the seminar was presented by Shri IYR Krishna Rao, IAS Former Chief Secretary AP & former Chairman AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation. Mr. Rao emphasized the need of activating a cooperative credit society turning to Brahmin Bank, Building of Brahmin leadership & preparing a Business plan.

Shri Kamakoti Prasad Rao President WBF AP talked about the glory of Brahmins, Brahmin being advising the kings & emperor, increasing of funds of Brahmin Welfare corporation, allocation of the post to Brahmin community in different boards, etc as per their ability & eligibility. Mr. Prasad termed  Mr. Malladi Vishnu as - ASHA JYOTI. 

Mr KV Subramanium WBF President Australia who was online from Melbourne talked about helping Brahmins brothers & sisters. An innovative way of campaigning support to all Brahmin candidates in India & particularly in AP, UP, Uttarakhand etc, Brahmin chambers of Commerce Maharastra & helping Brahmin candidates to get a suitable job all across the globe. He extended complete support to AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation in generating donations from overseas. 

Shri Srikishan Sharma  President WBF Telengana talked about the activities of the federation in Telegana. Creation of a cooperative society with 2 crore funds to provide soft loans to the Brahmin community. 

Pandit Mange Ram Sharma Chairman WBF thanked all members for their support. He explained the journey of WBF from its inception in the year 2000 till date. Mr. Sharma lauded the efforts of the current president KC Pandey to give shape to the organization for conducting meets even when he is away to Toronto on a personal tour. 

Pandit Malladi Vishnu, MLA & Chairman appreciated the efforts of the World Brahmin Federation ( WBF ) for hosting a webinar on a relevant subject. He assured the august gathering that he would take all feedback & suggestions into account & would try to address their points. He requested the WBF delegation to come forward with their suggestion & recommendations.  Shri Malladi Vishnu also informed that Rs 2 00 crore fund would be released to the board for its different activities. 

Dr VR Panchamukhi dwelled upon three types of marginalization - Economic, Social & Emotional, computer literacy, setting up a Brahmin Entrepreneurship development institute by AP Brahmin corporation, digitization of Manuscript, Sanskrit science knowledge, Supremacy of knowledge heritage etc. 

Mr RS Goswami VP WBF thanked all the participants for sparing their valuable time.  Shri U. Balarama Krishna Murthy General Secretary WBF AP thanked every one & proposed a Vote of Thanks.  

The meeting was attended by all the 12 district Presidents of AP & Mahila President of AP who were individually introduced to the chief Guest. Notable among the participant were - Mr. BC Tripathi Former Chairman GAIL. Patron WBF & chairman Taskforce Global Brahmin Network, Shri AP Sharma IAS, former Chief Secretary Manipur, Shri BD Joshi Patron WBF & former Engineer in chief PWD Himanchal Pradesh, GBBN Taskforce Members - Shri Ajay Sharma,  Shri Kamal Tiwari, Shri Jai Prakash Chharia, Shri Umesh Sharma, Shri Suresh Sharma & others. All the State presidents including Shri KK  Joshi Uttarakhand, Dr Jagdish Sharma J& K ,  Shri Vijay Kumar Jupudi from Telangana,  Shri Muni Raj Sharma from Karnal Haryana, Shri Krishna Prasad from Bangalore, E Subramanium, Shri LD Joshi ( Canada ) participated in the meeting.
